Okay regarding PC Specs and all, I just tried it on my PC... And I hate to say this because it shouldn't actually be true, it ran better than my Macbook Pro. :s

PC Specs are;
AMD Athlon 64bit 3000,
1.5gb Ram,
GeForce 7600GS,
Running off a USB HD!
And I'm getting a good 30fps with everything Highest and Filter Effects off. The only key difference is that my PC was running WinXP and the Mac Vista. Anyway those specs are shit nowadays and the game runs great. So if anyone is in the same boat get it for the PC.

I find it rather amusing that the game is called Dragon Age and yet, apart from the dragonlings and a few drakes...it seems like there's really only one dragon you HAVE to face.

well the full name is 'Dragon Age - Origins' so maybe there are more dragons to come.

I assumed the "Origins" part referred to the six different character origins.

This is me nitpicking a thoroughly amazing game because I'm at work and can't play it again for a few more hours lol.

The 'Origins' in the title seems to scream sequels to me.

Best character conversation ever: Alistair asking Wynne to darn his shirt so the hole didn't get bigger while fighting the darkspawn so he doesn't catch a cold.

Encountered my first glitch toward the end of the game last night. Let's just say I was rescuing someone and when I lock picked the door they were behind instead of using the key from the jailor the event just would not start. The character just was kneeling there and nothing would happen.

I don't know if what I'm about to type is true or not, but I was told that Dragon Age: Origins is the first part of a trilogy. Knowing Bioware and how they are regarding trilogies, there MAY be some truth to that. Either that or just wishful thinking.

I'm about 80% through my second playthrough as a City Elf Rogue (Having completed first playthrough as a Human Noble Warrior), and I'm having difficulties in leaving this game for FFXI (what with static commitments etc). Guess I've been waiting for a good RPG like this for awhile.

Thanks to all the annoying DRM that's been crippling games recently, this is the first PC game I've bought in a year. 12 hours in and enjoying it for the most part, though it's the first game in a few years that's forced me to drop the difficulty below the default. I wasn't dying that much, but enough to stop the game being fun. It didn't seem to matter how carefully I set up tactic slots, ranged characters would wade into melee range like idiots and require constant pausing and manual baby-sitting, and my tank's provoking abilities didn't take enough heat off them. I prefer playing the combat more in real-time.

Ok, seeing as I've finished this game twice (First as Human Noble Warrior, then City Elf Rogue) and I'm now trying my hand at a Human Magi playthrough. So far I've just entered Ostagar, and trying to refrain from charging into Darkspawn like I did as Warrior or Rogue.

Any advice or tips from others who have played as Mage would be appreciated.

^ Cone of Cold is your friend. Use it often. Same goes for Chain Lightning. You can pretty much go full primal and waltz through the game.

To make things even easier, open a door from the side so the enemies don't aggro, cast blizzard in the room so they'll keep falling down, and then cast Tempest for a lightning storm that will kill them rather easily. It's insanely good if you're playing no higher than on normal difficulty since there's friendly fire.

You've completed the Game TWICE already, :O Maker's Breath!!! That's some serious going. I'm about 15 hours in, this game is really quite addictive.

Finally beat it tonight after getting sidetracked by MW2 and L4D2. I thought I made all the "good" decisions, but man the ending left me without much hope for Ferelden.

Spoiler:

Human Noble Rogue. I took the hit at the end cause I liked Alistair. So what happens? OMG he leaves the Grey Wardens. Thanks for honoring my sacrifice. Oh yeah, and way to not want the throne at all. I gave it to Anora cause he was being a bitch about it and wouldn't marry her.

I rejected Morrigan's offer to sleep with me. I never got a single romance option with Leilana, who I liked better. Not quite sure what happened there. So yeah, I died at the end. It's cool they honored me and all that shit. I would have you know, actually liked to have seen my tomb and shit.

I used Alistair, Leilana, and Wynne in my party pretty much the whole game. I'm glad they all disappeared =(.

I installed Harrowmont as dwarf king. Man, couldn't that have at least turned out well? For crying out loud.

Oh yeah, Anora. Thanks for not getting married. Thanks for not having any heirs. I'm so glad I made you queen for 5 fucking minutes so that another civil war can happen when you die. Fucking cunt.

I know it's Dark Fantasy and all but c'mon, give me a fucking bone.

^ Very few of the choices you make, good or "evil", seem to work out well for Ferelden in the long run. I've been through the game 3 times now and can't recall one of the end-game descriptions that panned out. Oh some started off fine, then turned into one big 'ol bag of shit.

Not for me....

Spoiler:
Alistar took the throne and became a great king and a wonderful leader.

The city Elves got representation in the Landsmeet and got a voice in culture... Alistar even married an Elf.

The Dalish got their own lands and outside of a few small brawls are no accepted by the humans.

The Dwarves ended up getting all fucked up again, but

who gives a rats ass about Dwarves?
