Well, if that's your criteria, then the only ones who apply for vagina status are Vaan, Kuja and... shit, that's about all I can think of. Maybe Zidane in his renders when he looks like a lost Olsen twin. The rest of the Gacktfags (whom I had and still have no problem with, personally) were all on the level of Hope. Vaan and especially Kuja were kinda in a class by themselves (and in the case of Vaan, it was only his face; Kuja's the only real trap in FF).
Well, I suppose Larsa counts as well. But FFXII's pretty chars were more than balanced off by the manly sexiness of Vossler, Basch, and Balthier. Kuja, though, had no balancing equivalent (unless you want to count the goofy Steiner or the freakish Amarant). So yeah: Only Kuja really stands out in the series IMO.

Wow, that's...not quite how I imagined Cid would be.
Also, does anyone else think that Vanille's summon is Gilgamesh? It's all those arm-like things it has.

I thought Vanille's summon was Carbuncle?
Maybe the characters DO have multiple summons after all.

Vanille's summon was never Carbuncle. They confirmed that Carbuncle, Ifrit and Siren are NOT summonable. A line from one of the trailers gives the impression that Carbuncle is some sort of mascot in Cocoon. A person states that they want a Carbuncle stuffed animal, which basically confirms that it's not a summon.

Hmm, ok, so it's not Gilgamesh, but Hekatoncheir (boss in FFIII...not sure if they've kept this spelling in English, I read the news on a French website)...Eh well, it still looks kinda cool.
Also, Fang's bootyliciousness remains unchanged

So you won't use Ifrit, Carbuncle and Siren for anything?
Huh. I thought Ifrit was going to be some sort of blacksmith, and Carbuncle a messenger.

Nah, those three seem to be tied to Nautilus Park(the theme park location seen in many of the trailers, scans and screens). Carbuncle seems to be one of the mascots of Nautilus, while Siren performs concerts(they show her on a television screen at a shopping mall-like area of Nautilus). Ifrit, for all I know, could be the lead chef at "Pappa Ifrit's Kabob Hut" . Though my point would be, Nautilus seems like it will base it's theme around some of the classic summons of the FF series(just like Gold Saucer based it's theme around chocobos and moogles). That would also make it likely for other summons to appear as well(y'know, like how Mickey, Donald, Goofy and Minnie aren't the only characters walking around at Disneyland, and you sometimes get Captain Hook, or Chip and Dale).

What, are you serious? Why would they do such a thing? I guess, if they have a bunch of new summons. It's looking to me like each character gets one signature summon, but I haven't been paying close attention. I suppose it's possible that they could leave the reveal of more for the release.

I totally got chills watching that though. Definite FFX mixed with a little bit of VII & VIII vibe. This better turn out good, or I'm gonna cry.

The one signature summon is basically it. All l'Cies are able to summon an Eidolon(English versions using this term again) that is likened to being a "guardian angel". Each Eidolon is specifically made for their l'Cie, and are supposed to reflect the soul of the l'Cie. I recall hearing that Odin reflects Lightning's need to protect those she cares about(like a knight). Some of the others, I can't guess as easy, though a wild guess about Hope and Alexander would be that Alexander represents Hope's need for a protector/guardian(hence the whole fortress gestalt mode thing). Though, in a way, these summons are more like Personas than traditional summons.

Hmm. I suppose that's kind of a cool idea. Unfortunate if we don't get to see all the traditional ones in battle though.
